Tuesday, April 8th

Here we come Hoboken!
We started our first day in Hoboken at 6am. Bright and early.
Got a slow start.,- I guess the Hobokenians are not as early risers as I thought!
At 7.15am it got extremely busy though. We stayed mainly right next to the Train-Ferry-Bus station and handed out free drinks. People were very sleepy (not GURUed up yet).
We parked the car either across the street from the station or on the same side, right next to the entrance. We put up a GURU demo table just to create a buzz and handed out full cans of GURU.
We drove our "strongest of them all" (yes, blue car is the only "survivor" at the moment) around the city while the drinks were cooling in the two small and one big cooler. Then back to the station to greet people with GURU and hand out more and more drinks.
I went through 6 cases of EACH during the morning shift. It was just crazy: so many cool-looking young (mostly in their 30s) people going to the city. We just couldn't sit around and not have them take a GURU!

The evening shift started at 4pm and was even greater. I met up with Charlie(NJ distributor) and he scheduled us a demo inside the train station where they just had received an order of Original+Lite. They sold it there for $2.49.
Laurelle did the demo, most of the part she was right in the station and about half an hour in the store.
She says it was a good demo. She had this huge debate with a nutritionist who said that soda was better than GURU. Laurelle stepped up for our honor and explained that soda isn't organic, doesn't use naturally occurring caffeine. And that the diet-versions have "chemicals" in them and that GURU just doesn't :)
Most people liked the drink there. A lot of conductors/station staff came by to try it,-they seem to live on caffeine and said that the word is spreading about GURU!
The manager of the store was also very interested in GURU. Laurelle explained her again perfectly how much better GURU is.
She used about 125 cups. Original was the favorite, around 80% were into it. But lite was not ignored, there were several diabetics that were very glad to hear about GURU!
Not a lot of people had heard about GURU before, didn't even know what the word meant or how to pronounce it :)

As for me and Heather, we had a blast driving around and giving out GURU. We got a lot of attention. So much more than in the morning, people were all "waked up" :D
Funny story with Heather: That was her first day with GURU. I drove a with her for about 20 minutes in the beginning and when I went to set up the demo with Laurelle, i told her to just drive around. So she drives this little three-wheeled blue tiny ZAP-car and totally forgets it. Suddenly a bunch of guys start waving at her, trying to get her attention. OK boys who you are reading this, you don't know it but we girls just get very annoyed by that(when in a regular car), we just roll our eyes and think "Jerks". Finally when someone said GURU, she remembered,-OOoooohh, THAT'S why they re yelling! I'm in a three wheeled funny-looking car! The rest of the night she was smiling and waving at everyone.
Did I mention shes kinda blond :p

Once again the New York Times article was mentioned which is always great to hear.
oh, and when I went to a store on Washington to buy ice, the staff saw the GURU car and instantly recognized the brand: You're with that energy drink company!

So even though were missing our other two e-cars (that we will hopefully have before the end of the Hoboken-week) we are still definitely creating a buzz in Hoboken.

Go GURU!
